About the Halton Industry Education Council

The Halton Industry Education Council (HIEC) is a non-profit organization established in 1989 as a joint venture between industry in Halton, the Halton District School Board (HDSB) and Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB), and other community partners in Halton Region. HIEC works to enhance the dialogue between these various parties, and through the programs and services offered via HIEC's Career Centre, provide a link between Halton students and the world of work.  HIEC enjoys an excellent reputation in the Halton community and has successfully spearheaded various initiatives, one of the most recent being apprenticesearch.com.
