What Preparation and Training Do You Need?
To work as a Concrete Pump Operator, an apprentice must have their Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. Grade 12 English and Mathematics should be included as well as a co-op or OYAP component in a related field.
The apprenticeship for Concrete Pump Operator is a total of 2000 hours with 159 hours of in-school training, which takes about a year to complete.

Concrete Pump Operators work outdoors and frequently perform their jobs in conditions that may present discomfort or danger. They work in all types of weather and environmental conditions, with loud noise and dust part of the daily environment.
