Canada Apprentice Loan

The Canada Apprentice Loan is an initiative of the Government of Canada to help you complete your apprenticeship in a designated Red Seal trade.

Starting in January 2015, you can apply for up to $4,000 in interest-free loans per period of technical training. The money will be available to you to help pay for tuition, tools, equipment and living expenses, to cover forgone wages or to help support your family.

Ontario government gearing up for September start; through Employment Ontario service providers/agencies, and expecting all Employment Ontario service delivery partners to coordinate service, refer eligible clients and inquiries to their local EO service provider. Objective of YEF is to provide youth between ages of 15-29, in particular at-risk youth, with an entry point to long-term employment, through providing paid job placements of 4-6 months. Short-term training opportunities of up to 2 months may also be possible through the YEF.
