Women in Skilled Trades: Enhanced General Carpentry program
Are you a woman who is looking for a career in the skilled trades? The Centre for Skills Development & Training, in partnership with the Government of Ontario and Canadian Women’s Foundation, is offering 22 women the opportunity to train in the construction industry through the Women in Skilled Trades (WIST): Enhanced General Carpentry program.
This 29-week program provides hands-on training in construction, home building and renovation to women with little to no skilled trades experience who are looking to increase their economic security. The bulk of the program is funded by the Ontario Women’s Directorate and the cost to participants is only $500.
